The South Huron Sabres and Wingham Ironmen met in the "C" Championship Final.
This was a close, defensive contest that saw the first two periods remain scoreless.
The Sabres took the lone penalty of the first period but the Ironmen couldn't convert on their power play opportunity.
The Sabres took another couple penalties in the second while the Ironmen took their first penalty but neither team could convert on the man advantage.
However, the third period was a different story as the Sabres scored the first goal of the game at the midway point of the period on the power play. The Ironmen took another penalty a minute or so later - not a good sign. However, on the resulting Sabres' power play the Ironmen scored a shorthanded goal on a goal mouth scramble to tie the game at 1-1. As the clock moved into the final few minutes of the game, it looked like overtime was a possibility until the Sabres took the lead with a goal. The Ironmen pulled their goalie with about a minute to go but couldn't score the equalizer as the South Huron Sabres won 2-1 to claim the "C" Championship.
