The "D" Championship saw the Bruce Peninsula Predators and Wingham Ironmen Blue square off.
The Predators were quick out of the gate in this game as they scored within the first minute of the game to go up 1-0, the only scoring in the period.
The Ironmen took a penalty early in the second period but then scored 2 short-handed goals only 8 seconds apart on the penalty kill to go up 2-1. The Predators did score on that power play to tie things at 2-2. The Ironmen then scored halfway through the period to go up 3-2.
The one goal lead the Ironmen took into the third period wouldn't be enough, however. The Predators scored 3 unanswered goals in the period (2 of which were on the powerplay) to retake the lead and stretch it to 5-3. When the final buzzer sounded, the Bruce Peninsula Predators had clinched the "D" Championship title.
